Deadlines and Requirements
Applications for the 2027 - 2028 school year open on September 1, 2026. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2026.
The admission process is described below for each Grade level for 2027 - 2028 entry. Thank you for your interest in The York School!
Application Process by Grades
Junior School
Academic Assessment for Applicants to Grades 7-11
All entrance assessments are age-appropriate and evaluate literacy and numeracy skills.
Applicants to Grades 7-11 will write an online assessment (with a fee of $125). The York School is collaborating with Crescent School and Royal St. George’s College to deliver the assessment; students applying to one, both, or all three schools will only be required to write one assessment and can write the assessment at either Crescent School, Royal St. George's College or The York School. We hope this will minimize some of the challenges associated with the application process.

Grade 7-11 international and out-of-province students will write the assessment virtually from their location. The date and time will be provided shortly.
