Deadlines and Requirements
We will begin accepting applications for the 2026 - 2027 school year on September 1, 2025. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2025.
The admission process is described below for each Grade level for 2026 - 27 entry. Thank you for your interest in The York School!
Application Process by Grades
Junior School
Admission Test for Applicants to Grades 6-11
All entrance tests are age-appropriate and evaluate literacy and numeracy skills.
Applicants to Grades 6-11 will write an online test (with a fee of $125). The York School is collaborating with Crescent School and Royal St. George’s College to deliver the test; students applying to one, both, or all three schools will only be required to write one test and can write the test at either Crescent School, Royal St. George's College or The York School. We hope this will minimize some of the challenges associated with the application process.

December 7, 2024, at 9:00 AM at Crescent School
December 14, 2024, at 9:00 AM at Royal St.George's College

Grade 8 Test Dates and Locations
January 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM at The York School
Grade 9 Test Dates and Locations
December 7, 2024, at 9:00 AM at Royal St.George's College

Grade 6-11 international and out-of-province students will write the test virtually from their location on January 11 , 2025 at 10:00 AM EST.
