York School Events

Senior School Music Trip

Location: Austria, Czech Republic

This excursion is an opportunity for students to continue developing their passion for music. Many significant composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert, Strauss, Dvorak and Smetana are associated with Austria and the Czech Republic. Our students will have the opportunity to learn about these musical cultures by visiting various museums such as Mozart’s house in Salzburg (presently a museum of Mozart’s life) providing them with the exciting opportunity to view original music scores. In addition to visiting museums, our students will attend various prestigious concerts such as an evening performance at the Dvorak Hall in Prague. Lastly, our students will have the opportunity to participate in these musical cultures by performing at least three times during this excursion.
