The TYS Storm rolled into the gymnasium with nimbostratus energy, ready to weather the challenge from the visiting St. Michael's College School Blues. Lightning struck early as Liam "Thor" D. electrified the court with 18 points, while Robert "Static" B. shocked defenders for 17 points of his own.
The Storm built atmospheric pressure throughout the first half, and by the third quarter, TYS had generated a narrow lead. The home crowd cheers helped to keep the wind at their backs as the Storm surged forward. But the Blues channeled some cold luck from their clovers and the cobalt leprechauns took the lead in the fourth quarter. While SMCS found the 79-71 pot at the end of the rainbow, the Storm's best efforts maintained a strong tempest ready for a rematch.
Josh "Prospero" G.-S. earned Player of the Game honours for his powerful pair of three-pointers and relentless defensive pressure. The forecast remains optimistic for this talented TYS Junior Varsity team.
