These activities will introduce students to the historical significance of the 1837 Rebellions in Toronto, the power of the printing press, significant characters in the rebellion, architecture, city planning, and religious practices of the time. New additions to the trip include the successes and challenges that BIPOC faced during this time period, as well as prominent figures who advocated for change in their communities. Students will travel by TTC to Mackenzie house to start programming. Students will walk to St. Lawrence Market for lunch and free time.
