The Magnificent Seven

2/6/2026

The TYS Storm channeled the spirit of Canada's legendary landscape painters in a masterful 66-55 victory over the Greenwood Grizzlies. Like the Group of Seven capturing the rugged Canadian wilderness, the Storm began with just seven players ready to paint their own masterpiece on the hardwood.

Robert "Lawren Harris" B. opened the exhibition with two consecutive three-pointers, establishing bold brushstrokes for the entire canvas. The Storm led from buzzer to buzzer, never relinquishing their artistic vision. Koorosh "West Wind" F. was the star of the gallery, splashing 24 points across the court with the same brilliance Tom Thomson captured at Algonquin Park.

Cole "A.Y. Jackson" H. contributed 8 points while anchoring the defensive landscape with his imposing presence, wrenching the ball from the Tangled Garden under the basket for the Storm's composition. Kareem "Arthur Lismer" S. added vibrant energy in the fourth quarter, helping seal the victory with artistry.

Duuk "Bright Land" S. joined the artistic ensemble in the second half just as Frank Carmichael joined the original seven. Together, this magnificent group created a work of art displayed proudly in TYS Storm history, featuring Bolt the falcon soaring overhead in the dramatically dynamic and vibrant skies.
