The TYS Storm flew to Oakville to face the Appleby College Blue Dogs, and what unfolded was a thrilling chase down to the final seconds. The greyhounds lived up to their racing reputation, running plays stride-for-stride with York throughout all four quarters in a back-and-forth battle.
Robert "Cesar" B. and Liam "Millan" D. led the offensive charge with 19 points each, restraining the Blue Dogs' bite with their own tenacious scoring. The game remained neck-and-neck as both teams sprinted through possessions with the Storm gaining momentum in the third quarter. In the paint, Cole "Muzzler" Hales earned Player of the Game honours by taking the charge and keeping the Blue Dogs quiet under the basket for crucial points.
Despite the Storm's grit and balanced attack, the Appleby managed to edge ahead in the final moments, securing a narrow 67-66 victory on their home court. While the greyhounds reached the hare at the end of the game, the TYS team is looking forward to future races to unleash new tricks.
