CISAA Final 4 @ SHS

Everyone loves a comeback! That’s exactly what happened when the TYS U-14 basketball team started slow in their first semi-final match against Country Day School. The players were sluggish and struggling to surpass their opponents until the halftime huddle, when Coach Scott reminded them to stay focused on defense and play as a team. It was as if a lightning bolt struck the team. Shots were successful, redemption began, and the crowd went wild. In the end, we secured the win with a 20-point lead.

After a short break TYS athletes faced RSGC in the finals. Certainly they were tired, but brilliantly they pushed on and played the best they ever had as a team. Shoutout to Coach Scott for here AMAZING coaching, switching strategies at half-time, telling the boys to be the wolf, take care of the ball, and DENY #42. Shoutouts to Eddie and Grant for doing just that. Other shout outs go to Liam for his 3-pointers and to Aiden for his incredible rebounds. The entire term earned their gold medals with a 67-38 win. And we’ll leave the last word of the season to Soren, as he noted in the final few seconds of the game, “Every day!” Well done boys!
