Grade 5 Field Trip: McMichael Canadian Art Collection

Class 8C Excursion to St. James Cemetery
This is an ending piece for our Unit 1 and a jumping off point for unit 2. We will visit the grave site of William Lyon Mackenzie and reflect on the Rebellions. We will then use the cemetery as a point of data collection. Students will travel around the cemetery collecting demographic information (name, gender, age, possible cause of death, religion, etc). Grade 6 (all) & Grade 8 (Drama) Excursion to Mary Poppins
Richmond Hill Center for the Performing ArtsAs part of the drama and music programs students are expected to attend a professional musical and theatrical production. This helps students develop their knowledge about professional productions, theatre and musical vocabulary as well as the impact a live audience brings to a show.In grade 6, music students select their instrument. This gives them an opportunity to witness how professionals apply their knowledge in an orchestra.In class, Grade 8 drama students will learn about audience etiquette and how to critique a live theatre performance.Contact: Sean Mayes
