On Friday, January 23rd, four York School students travelled to Toronto Montessori School in Richmond Hill to participate in the Le festival d'art oratoire, a French public speaking competition sponsored by Canadian Parents for French.
The event at TMS, was the board level run-off for CIS schools (Grades 4-6). One student in each category was selected to represent CIS schools at the provincial level of the competition in May at Glendon College. Jamie Rygiel Baban was chosen to represent CIS for the Extended Category! Sameer Passi, Anna Aber and Yasmin Bender also presented amazing speeches in the Core French category.
Congratulations to Jamie, Sameer, Anna and Yasmin!
