Senior School Wellness Programme

Central to The York School’s approach to education is an appreciation for the importance of supporting the whole child. Academic success is intrinsically tied to social and emotional wellness. Through our robust homeroom and advisor programme in all three divisions, students have the opportunity to nurture meaningful relationships with teachers and peers and explicitly address social/emotional learning and character building.

Counsellors work with students in Grades 9 - 12 to help them formulate individual success plans, develop personal management skills, research and apply to post-secondary schools. And ensure that our students’ unique psychosocial needs are addressed.

The York School’s Wellness programme teaches students concepts related to lifelong learning, interpersonal relationships and career planning concepts that are integral to their success as Senior School students and as responsible citizens of the world.
