Support Services

All York School students are given the means to achieve to their personal best.

At The York School, our focus is on the whole child. Our team of student services counsellors supports each student's academic and psycho-social needs.
A Learning Resource teacher is available to help individual students make the most of their learning experiences in and out of the classroom.

A trained Social Worker and Counselor is on hand to sit down with students who are facing difficulties.

Our counsellors work with students in Grades 9 - 12 to help them formulate individual success plans, develop personal management skills, and to research and apply to post-secondary schools.
A Guidance and Career Education programme offered by our counsellors teaches students concepts related to lifelong learning, interpersonal relationships and career planning concepts that are integral to their success as Senior School students and as responsible citizens of the world.
