'GET UP IN THE SIX' EPISODE 1 - DALLAS SOONIAS

Our celebrated “Get Up in the Six” series where students get the opportunity to ask professional athletes and coaches life questions and advice is back! The interviews have been an amazing platform to learn from some great coaches and athletes.
National Truth and Reconciliation Day on September 30th, 2021 was a very important day of reflection, understanding and learning. This week’s guest on the podcast is Dallas Soonias from Calgary, Alberta. Dallas is a former Team Canada and pro athlete now filmmaker. In this episode York School students interview Dallas Soonias about his world experiences through Volleyball, his 'sleep expertise' in fatherhood, his Jordan vs. LeBron opinion, wellness and how he says empathy and understanding is the good first step in Truth and Reconciliation.
