Meet Fabio

Fabio is a highly accomplished musician and composer, and he leads many of the Middle and Senior School bands at The York School. But when he's not entertaining us with impressive jazz solos, you can find Fabio touring Southern Ontario on his road bike.

After completing a B.A.(Honours) in Music at York University, Fabio attended the University of Toronto to complete a B.Ed. He then pursued his Masters Degree at York University focusing on Jazz Composition. At The York School, he is a Middle & Senior School Music Teacher, the Arts Department Chair, the Junior & Senior Jazz Band Director and the Guitar Ensemble Director.

An avid traveller, he has been to China, South America and numerous countries in Europe and has led York School students on several exciting Challenge Week and Music trips around North America.

A man of many talents, Fabio isn’t just about the music. Many don’t know that he also has a passion for biking. Once a year, Fabio bikes from Woodbridge to the CN Tower and back again, and has also extended the ride to Niagara Falls and back.
