Connie was born and raised in China where she attended the Anhui Normal University and taught for 12 years. After continuing to teach in Singapore and Canada, Connie was recognised with an Award of Excellence by the Chinese government for teaching Mandarin overseas.

This path led her to Singapore where she lived for three years before she and her family relocated to Canada in 2000. In Toronto, Connie earned a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Seneca College and continued to teach. Since 2009, Connie has been a Middle and Senior School Mandarin Teacher at The York School and has starred in this role. But that’s not all Connie is interested in – when she’s not in the classroom, Connie also loves reading, cooking and music.
