Popular Science Lecture

Location: Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute
York School students have been attending the popular science lectures for at least the past 6 years. Students have the opportunity to hear from doctors that are doing cutting edge research in various areas of medicine – information they would never glean from their textbooks or curriculum guides. They also have a unique opportunity to visit the labs at St. Michael’s Hospital to learn how research is really done. Finally they have a chance to make connections with experts outside the school, which could lead to various opportunities. School uniform is required. Wear warm outdoor gear for walking to and from the TTC. Students may be dismissed from the lecture if they have a last period spare. Bring TTC fare. Lunch will be provided. Inform your teachers that you will be missing periods 5-7.
