Grade 10 Double Math CN Tower Field Trip

Students will take the TTC to three different destinations to measure the height of the CN Tower using a clinometer. This data will be used as part of an MYP assessment on trigonometry.
Students will work with a tool that once used by mathematicians (albeit a modern-day version) and discover the limitations of such tool in a real-life context. Students will take multiple trials from a variety of locations in order to assess their accuracy and the validity of their method
