Middle School Art Class
Middle School students doing art in the art classroom
Vannakkam or Hello York! We are back from participating in the Global Pathways School Cultural Exchange Trip over the March break, where we travelled to Tamil Nadu, India.
During our days at GPS, we spent time in the classrooms. Each of us was assigned a class from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. We joined in classroom activities and helped the students with math, reading, and science class, and we even got to partake in PE class, karate class and dance class!
We learned about the importance of appreciating opportunities to learn, gained a better understanding of Indian culture, and saw the value of an accepting and strong community.
If you would like to learn more in detail about our two weeks in Tamil Nadu, please visit the GPS Trip Blog, and view more photos from our trip on the York Facebook page.
