Shooting Hoops for a Cause

In just two hours, Grade 4 student, Ryder Jennings, raised $2900 for Global Pathways School in India by shooting hoops after school.
On Wednesday night, Grade 4 student Ryder Jennings, showed great character and determination, helping raise money for Global Pathways School in India. Ryder decided that to raise money he would spend some of his free time doing what he loves best, shooting hoops.

In just two hours, Ryder made 650 baskets and raised over $2900 for GPS. When asked what he would like the money to go towards at the school in India, it's no surprise that he was keen to help out their sports department. Junior School teacher, Barb Prevedello, is leaving for India on March 12th with this money in hand to make sure it does towards sports equipment. With Global Pathways school moving to a brand new building and location in June, there will be plenty of need for sports equipment for gym classes and extra curricular programs.

Thanks to Ryder and the entire York School community for contributing to GPS and the children and teachers in the village of Chettipalayam.
