At TYS, we never sit courtside, we get in the game.  We may be a smaller CISAA school, but we are very spirited about competitive sport.  Last year alone, more than three-quarters of our senior students joined a school team.

On the field and in the gym, we all cheer for TYS.  But clearly our record speaks for itself.

  • CISAA Senior Boys curling championship, 2007.
  • CAIS gold and bronze medals at Inter-School Equestrian in Duncan, B.C, 2007.
  • CISAA U14 Boys softball championship, 2006.
  • Varsity Ultimate coed championship, 2006.
  • CISAA Junior Boys soccer championship, 2005.
  • Guild Cup Gold, CIS cross-country, 2005.
  • CISAA championships, Boys Junior (U16) basketball, Boys U14 soccer, and Girls U14 badminton, 2004-05.
  • Silver, U16 Girls basketball, Montreal Invitational Independent Tournament, 2003.
  • Silver, National U13 Boys basketball,1999; consolation championship, 2003.  In February 2006, we cohosted this national tournament.

Team TYS
Athletics means teamwork, cooperation, fair play, commitment, and treating others with respect and kindness.  We give our students the experience and confidence they need to participate in sport and be active all their lives.

A League of Their Own
Beginning in the Fall of 2007, TYS will offer a junior development programme to all students in grades 1 - 4.  Throughout the year, our aspiring younger athletes can hone their soccer, basketball and t-ball skills during in-house competitions and clinics.

Interscholastics and Intramurals
For 41 years, we've fielded CISSA teams for boys and girls.
