A world of study and travel awaits our grades 9 and 10 students who take part in our International Exchange Programme, now in its fifth year. It's distance learning, up close.
For one to two months, our students fully immerse themselves in a new country, culture and community. The list of destinations has been growing along with our programme. First Australia, New Zealand and France. Now California and South Africa.
Exchange means new adventures, new places and new faces. Our programme leaves its mark on each of our teen travellers. There's more independence, self-esteem, decision-making, leadership, and new ways of thinking, new ways of adapting. And all for the world to see.
Our York families host reciprocal exchanges, returning the warm hospitality our students are welcomed with while away.
As one Australian parent wrote of the programme, "We feel we have all made friends for life, and we feel The York School is richer for having this family in its wider school community." We couldn't agree more.
